Terms, Conditions & Community Guidelines for Networking Now India

 

Welcome to Networking – Now India (NNI)! NNI is a dynamic platform established and managed by Ms. Shaan Khanna, that brings entrepreneurs together to foster growth and development in their businesses. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive community of entrepreneurs to engage, expand their network, and empower each other through a diverse range of opportunities including in-person and virtual meetings, events, workshops, round tables, conferences, conversations, WhatsApp and social media interactions, and much more (collectively referred to as "NNI events").

 

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before interacting with Networking – Now India (‘NNI’) in any manner, including as a viewer, member, a guest at any NNI event (whether virtual or in-person), and/or visitor on the website or NNI’s social media pages (across all platforms). By using any of the aforementioned forms of interaction, including posting, sharing, and forwarding information, graphics, text, and/or video (together referred to as ‘Use’), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please note that any Use you have with NNI shall be deemed to be governed by these Terms and Conditions.

 

  • General Terms of Use:

    • Annual Membership:  

      • NNI offers an annual membership, with any renewals thereof, also being on an annual basis only. Membership fees are collected accordingly. 

      • Please note that there would be no refunds (pro-rated or otherwise) in case your membership is discontinued before the annual tenure is completed. 

      • Every NNI membership includes value-additions, which are available on the website www.networking-now.com Please note that these inclusions are at the sole discretion of NNI and NNI reserves the right to add, remove or modify these inclusions in any manner;

      • Please note that the NNI membership fees do not include ticket prices to individual NNI events. NNI members receive a discounted rate for NNI events, but each NNI event is charged extra, typically in the range of INR 500 – 2000 per event. 

    • Non – transferable and non – refundable: It is important to note that NNI’s membership, once taken, is non-transferable and non-refundable, under any circumstances, including force majeure reasons.

    • Goods & Services Tax (GST): NNI charges applicable GST on all their fees, including membership and event fees. It is the responsibility of the paying party to provide their appropriate GST number and any other required information for a GST certificate, which NNI shall provide at said party’s request.

    • NNI Events:

      • NNI organizes a variety of events throughout the year, both in-person and online, including but not limited to meetings, workshops, round tables, expert interviews, conferences, dinners, and others (‘NNI event’).

      • NNI has absolute discretion over the planning, organization, and execution of events, including the selection of the event location, the number and curation of attending guests, the menu, service partners and vendors, experts, and the event format. NNI reserves the right to change, postpone, or cancel events at any time and for any reason, without any liability to members or attendees.

      • Please note that the registration fee for NNI events is non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-cancellable for any reason, including but not limited to personal circumstances, travel restrictions, or force majeure events. NNI reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or modify any event, and in such an event, NNI shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising out of such cancellation, rescheduling or modification.

      • By participating in an NNI event, you grant NNI the right to use any photographs, videos, or other recordings of you taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes. Additionally, any information shared during the events, including but not limited to presentations, discussions, and materials, is confidential and may not be shared with any third party without the express written consent of NNI.

 

 

    • Disclaimer of liability:

      • NNI shall not be liable or responsible for any incidents, accidents, injuries, damages, losses, or claims of any kind that may arise during or as a result of attending any NNI event, whether in-person or virtual. All attendees, guests, and participants attend and participate at their own risk, and are solely responsible for their own safety, well-being, and property.

      • NNI Events is not liable for any inaccuracies or omissions in the personal or business information provided by its members or Facebook group members. Members are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their information.

      • NNI provides no warranty or guarantees as to the quality of its events. NNI strives to deliver the most valuable, carefully crafted experiences for its members and guests and selects events based on its own exclusive and absolute discretion in adherence to this.

      • NNI understands and acknowledges that the subjective nature of events may not meet the expectations of all members and guests. While NNI endeavours to provide valuable and curated experiences for its community, the individual perception of an event is beyond NNI's control, and NNI cannot guarantee that all members and guests will find the event equally beneficial or enjoyable.

      • NNI shall not be held responsible for any complaints or dissatisfaction regarding the event location, including but not limited to its hygiene, geographical location, parking situation, quality of food and beverage service, or available facilities. NNI selects event locations based on its own creative judgment and may be limited by factors such as availability or budget. Attendees and members attend events at their own risk and agree not to hold NNI liable for any issues related to the event location.

      • The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the website or the information, content, materials, or products included on the website. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

 

 

  • NNI Community guidelines:

By participating in our community, you agree to abide by these guidelines and any additional rules or regulations that may be implemented by our community in the future.

 

    • Respect and professionalism: We believe in maintaining a respectful and professional environment for all members of our community. Please refrain from using any inappropriate language, making derogatory or discriminatory comments, or engaging in any form of harassment or bullying.

    • Positive communication: We encourage positive communication and constructive feedback within our community. Please refrain from any negative or defamatory comments towards other members, their businesses, or their products.

    • Intellectual property: We respect the intellectual property rights of all members. Please do not use any copyrighted material or trademarks without proper authorization.

    • Confidentiality: We encourage open communication within our community but also respect the confidentiality of sensitive information shared by our members. Please do not share confidential or sensitive information, and any such information shared shall be at your own risk and consequence.

    • Punctuality: We value punctuality and request the same consideration from all members and attendees of our events.

    • Compliance with laws: Our community expects all members to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their respective jurisdictions.

    • NNI as a platform: NNI operates solely as a platform for entrepreneurs to connect, network and collaborate with each other in a supportive and secure environment. While NNI values and encourages community members to support each other's businesses, this is not a requirement for membership or participation in NNI events. NNI does not charge any commission or make any profits from business transactions between the members of our community and bears no liability for any such transactions or their outcomes.

    • Professional behaviour: NNI expects all members and attendees to behave in a professional and respectful manner towards each other, both online and offline. Professional behaviour includes refraining from using profanity or making derogatory remarks, treating others with respect, and refraining from engaging in any behaviour that could be deemed as harassing, discriminatory, offensive or cheating in any form or involving nudity, pornography or any other inappropriate content in any form. NNI reserves the right to remove any member or attendee who engages in such behaviour, without any refund of membership or event fees.

    • Consent before sharing: NNI members must obtain the consent of other members or contacts before sharing their contact information in response to a query or connection request within the NNI WhatsApp/Facebook group or at an NNI event.

    • Events held outside India: NNI may hold events outside of India, and members and attendees acknowledge and agree that such events may be subject to different laws, regulations, and cultural norms than those in India. NNI shall not be liable for any breach of such laws or regulations by any member or attendee, nor for any harm or damage arising from any attendee's participation in such events. Members and attendees further acknowledge and agree that they are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing their participation in events held outside of India

    • Moderation: Our community is moderated, and we reserve the right to remove any member or content that violates our guidelines or disrupts the community's positive environment.

    • Feedback and Complaints: NNI values the opinions and feedback of its members and is committed to providing a high-quality networking community.  Any person having a complaint or concern regarding any aspect of the community or events should first write to NNI at [insert email address]. NNI shall take all reasonable steps to address any issues and concerns raised by members. NNI welcomes constructive feedback and suggestions from members on how to improve the community and events.

    • Non-Disparagement: NNI values its reputation and the reputation of its members. Therefore, members agree not to engage in any conduct or make any statements, whether oral or written, that disparage NNI, its events, or other members. This includes but is not limited to, negative comments or reviews on social media platforms. Members agree to bring any concerns or complaints to NNI's attention through the appropriate channels, which include writing to NNI at [insert contact email/address]. Any violation of this non-disparagement clause may result in the termination of a member's membership without a refund. In addition, NNI reserves the right to take legal action, including criminal action, against any member found violating this non-disparagement clause. Any such action by NNI shall be in addition to and not in lieu of any other legal remedies available to NNI.

 

  • Other Terms:

    • Consent: By participating in any NNI event or activity, you hereby consent to the use of your likeness, name, and business social media handles in any promotional materials or on the NNI website or social media pages. You acknowledge and agree that NNI Events holds all intellectual property rights to any such materials and has full discretion over the decision to use your picture, video, text, graphic, or any other likeness or intellectual property for promotional purposes. You further acknowledge and agree that you have no right to demand or claim to be featured on the NNI page or any promotional materials, and that the decision to feature any individual or entity is at the sole creative discretion of NNI Events.

    • Intellectual property: All content and materials on the NNI platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and data compilations, are the intellectual property of NNI and its owner, Shaan Khanna, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Community members agree not to reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on any content or materials found on the NNI platform without the express written consent of NNI and Shaan Khanna. Any use of NNI's intellectual property must be accompanied by proper attribution to NNI and Shaan Khanna. Failure to comply with these intellectual property rights may result in legal action against the offending member.

    • Limitation of Liability: NNI shall not be liable to any member, attendee or third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of information or data, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use NNI's services, events, or website, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, even if NNI has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall NNI's total liability to any member, attendee or third party for all damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) exceed the amount paid by the member or attendee to NNI for the applicable services, events or website for the event giving rise to such liability. The limitations of liability set forth herein shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.s

    • Indemnification:

      • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NNI, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates, from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the NNI platform, your violation of these terms, your infringement of any intellectual property rights, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

      • You agree to promptly notify NNI of any such claims and to cooperate fully with NNI in the defence of any such claims. NNI reserves the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will fully cooperate with NNI in asserting any available defences.

 

    • Jurisdiction and Governing Law: Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts in Mumbai, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such disputes or claims. It is clarified that this does not preclude the parties from exploring alternative modes of dispute resolution, having Mumbai as the venue for all such resolution efforts.
